Located just 6 miles off Georgia's coast, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, Jekyll Island is a rare treasure, blending unspoiled natural beauty with abundant recreation and thoughtful conveniences.
Play golf and tennis, splash at Summer Waves, explore the Jekyll Island historic district or try deep-sea fishing. With so much Jekyll Island recreation, it’s no wonder the nickname is Georgia's "Smilin' Island"! No more than a third of the island will ever be developed, so the pristine beaches, lush maritime forests and stands of ancient oaks will remain forever undisturbed.
